i confess... i haven't yet made up this season's nwp wedding mix {inspired by music, each new season calls for a new mix that 'assistant extraordinaire emily' usually helps me create}
last week, i received this very urgent text:
'heard the new matt nathanson song on the radio. if you haven't, you must find it immediately. i can't remeber the title but let's just say, that when you hear it...there's no way that it won't be on our '11 playlist.
look for the release of matt nathanson's new album at the end of june... and if you have any other suggestions for the nwp playlist-please let me know!

matt + lindsey {i will}
you really do get to know a couple when you spend a weekend with them! matt and lindsey invited me down to show me their stompin' grounds. they live just outside of Washington DC and later this summer they'll be married at the Chateau des Charmes Winery here in Niagara-on-the-Lake. i couldn't be more excited for them!
after picking me up from the airport, they toured me around DC and we visited the National Monument where matt had proposed to lindsey. it was a bit crowded so we'd visit again on sunday for pictures. we shopped in georgetown, they showed me the japanese restaurant where they had their first date, i passed on getting tattoo...although it was very tempting, matt. we rode bikes, we hiked and we even fit in a movie while we waited for the rain to pass. what i learned about this couple... here's my top ten list of favourite things about this couple madly in love:
they're good genuine people.
they care about their community.
they're great hosts and they have a guest room if anyone's interested...thinking of sending the kids over ; )
lindsey's a big sister
they feed the homeless
they're both training for a marathon to raise funds and awareness for cancer.
they met while training to be volunteer firefighters
matt buys cupcakes for lindsey but then eats half of it ; )
they love adventure
matt's obsessed with tattoos
lindsey could kick matt's a$$ at pool (that might be a lie)
'it is what it is'- i love lindsey's matter of fact personality
they have the cutest little boxer puppy named sparrow... lindsey's christmas gift to matt (all together now...'awwwww')
alright, i went a bit over ten... but check out these images from their engagement session and tell me that you're not just a wee bit in love with this couple!

todd + julie {i do}
we had a great wedding celebration with todd and julie this past weekend-couldn't have had a more beautiful day-i even have a sun kissed nose to prove it!
on saturday morning we met the lovely bride julie at allure in newmarket where she was getting pampered and prettied for her walk down the aisle! so great to see that transformation from beautiful gal to beautiful bride...
todd and julie's house was a dream to photograph...lots of light and no shortage of great details...
but the real transformation happens when the dress goes on...
and across the city there was a handsome groom prepping to meet his bride...meet todd.
family and friends gathered together at the St. Elizabeth Seton Parish for the exchange of vows...
todd's eyes are so full of life...but i've never seen them light up so much as i did when julie walked down the aisle in her gown!
followed by a little portrait extravaganza at the club at bond head with the mr. and mrs!
when we left the reception that night, there was cake to be had...and the dance floor was packed! so fun!

A great big thank you to you; I think you're just wonderful and so glad that you were our photographer....one of the best decisions we made - we really lucked out! I'm sure you hear this often, but you are such a pleasure to be around; professional, fun, entertaining and calming...which i needed! We've had nothing but compliments on all the photos you've taken, both engagement and the little preview at the wedding (i'm sorry i missed it!). I can't wait to see all the photos! lindsay and shawn are a couple madly in love and getting married in the fall!
when we were talking about their session, lindsay mentioned their new puppy-an english bulldog...phoebe. i suggested they take her along and i'm so glad they did! how cute is this?!
if only orchard blossoms stayed around for the summer...so soft and pretty!
after i posted the sneak peek of lindsay and shawn...a comment popped up on the blog...'there are fewer people in this world that are more in love than these two'. i can't really argue that-just look at them together!
looking forward to their wedding! lindsay was showing me a few of the details and telling me of how much her family is involved in the wedding plans-very exciting!
