my thanksgiving weekend began with a little wine tasting at ravine winery. i'll get to the pictures but...let me just gush a little over this notl winery first...it has been a while since my last visit there and i was excited to see it's growth-they've been busy! if you have a free afternoon this weekend you should head on over while the weather is still nice... have a glass of wine, stay for lunch on their wrap around veranda, kick a soccer ball around...and be sure to check out the history behind the house...it's great story! what a charming place to spend an afternoon!

i met andrea and todd at the winery with their best man and maid of honour for a session-i always love to meet the couple before the wedding...meeting the wedding party too is an added bonus! they get to know me...i learn a little about them-and everyone is comfortable with me and my big camera for the wedding day. that afternoon i learned...
-that andrea is sometimes a little shy in front of the camera and she loves candidness in photographs
-that todd loves to kick a ball around-and he's pretty good at it
-that back light is a beautiful thing. mmmm.
-that andrea and eric, the best man, share a love for cheese... (but at least they acknowledged their problem and stayed out of the cheese section at the winery)
-that andrea's sister stephanie has such a 'big' personality and i love how she adds to the party!
-that todd and andrea couldn't have pulled of a 3 week wedding planning extravaganza without eric and her sister, steph...
that's right...i said 3 weeks.
but what they needed to unwind the day before the wedding...what they REALLY needed...was a niagara wine tour.
(oh and i learned that when a wedding pulls together a family for some much needed time together...it is a very good good thing. loved watching this group together)

here are a few images from that warm october afternoon at ravine:

a special thanks to niagara classic transport again for being so fabulous!
i have a love-hate relationship with long weekends-it was a lovely thanksgiving day off work, but my list of things to do piled up on my time off. andrea and todd's wedding, as well as kendra and kyles's wedding, will be coming to the blog soon. we'll also have another trailer for an upcoming film... AND...
the best man speech of the year award goes to...
i know. so much to share, so little time! enjoy your weekend lovelies!

I see what you mean about backlighting; the close up of Todd & Andrea is just perfect - what a beautiful couple and family.
