i first met todd & andrea at ravine winery for a photo session the day before their wedding. they flew in from LA to celebrate their wedding here in niagara at Vineland Estate Winery and if you remember-they planned the wedding in just 3 short weeks. it was a beautiful day- a casual ceremony surrounded by the vineyards with 12 guests...their family.
todd and andrea met at work-not wanting to rush into anything they were friends for a while... she laughed as she said 'he wasn't even my type-blond hair...blue eyes'.
it didn't take long for him to win her heart... and together they have a gorgeous little girl, ava.
a few of my favourite moments...
-a little pre wedding jump on the bed with the girls
-todd-learns how to tie ; )
-the walk down the aisle-bride and beautiful baby
-simple ceremony on scattered rose petals
-the vows-beautifully written and so personal
-the way andrea's face lit up when she saw the carriage house
-sister steph... seriously talented. she sang for the couple... and their mom
-ava and grandma wheelin' to dinner
-the dancing...
enough about that...check out the images from their winery wedding:
the inspiration for this wedding... andrea's mom was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer and the couple wanted her to be able to celebrate with them... so they brought the wedding a little closer to home.

it's common the wedding couple to get wrapped up in the busy-ness of the wedding day... i usually will remind the couple to take it all in - andrea didn't need the reminder-she was soaking it all in-all the special moments, the beauty of the day...her husband...
the carriage house was stunning! andrea had wanted to have something magical for her mom... jennifer from mimosa went above and beyond-she created a beautiful atmosphere for family to enjoy-it was the perfect evening.

a little song, a little dance...and some great memories!
congrats to you, todd and andrea!

don't be a stranger... todd and andrea also had us film their wedding story and we'll be posting their feature film in just a short while!
a very special congrats to andrew and ariel-we had such a great day photographing your wedding this past august!

we'll post a few more from this wedding here on the blog...but until then-enjoy looking through the beautiful 'anthropologie' inspired wedding that was featured on Style Me Pretty-Canada this weekend!
mmmmm....sunset and one hour at the beach with caissie and david...what a great end to the love fest! these two love birds were blessed with a little rain on their wedding day so we didn't make it to the beach that afternoon. rachel and i stayed in miami a few days longer though and met up with the newly weds for just one last rendezvous along the ocean. it was lovely... and so happy that david and caissie came down to the lobby in their wedding clothes-what a great surprise!
the soho beach house has so many little amazing nooks and crannies to shoot in-we spent a little time by the pool...
the outdoor bar... love this series!
you guys make my heart smile!
david and caissie's wedding film will be released in the new year-we'll let you know on facebook and twitter when it is posted-i invite you to connect with us there if you haven't already!
in other news...we've also been working hard on a special little somethin' that we'll share in January... so come on back and visit! i've been blogging my little heart out this week and we'll have one more wedding post up before we take a little holiday break--chat again real soon!
i think the last i shared with you about caissie and david's wedding weekend-the love fest-was right up until their first look.
the katuba signing was up in the penthouse… a short but meaningful and moving ceremony with their families...
the wedding party...their siblings-i loved seeing the closeness of their families... heartwarming. and david's brother performed the ceremony-so great!
i'm not exaggerating when i say the guests gasped when caissie walked into the ceremony…
the candles and the lights against the rustic soho house restaurant made such a beautiful and romantic setting for this celebration!
and the party carried right on into the other room-i think at one point-every guest was on that dance floor…and very seldom did anyone leave…but with a band like this… it was next to impossible to stand still-this might have been the only wedding i've heard the guest shouting 'encore' after the band left… but they came back…for just one more.
the energy in that room that night-incredible.
and here it is...this could be my favourite part of the weekend- david wrote and performed a song for caissie at the party...
we didn't make it out to the beach for any pictures on their wedding day-so later on in the week we got together for just a photo session on the beach-they came down from their room dressed in their wedding clothes-what a great surprise that was! and that will be part 3...coming next to the blog!

i can't possibly cover the entire wedding in one post so this one is going to be a little series...
earlier this year caissie and david shared their love stories... they vary from eachother...this morning i'll share caissie's : )
'David and I first met in Philladelphia in the alley way by the Stage Door of The Merriam Theatre. I had just finished a performance of Hairpsray, and David was in town visiting his friend in the show. This mutual friend of ours had been telling me for months that she had the perfect guy for me, but I brushed it off because I was dating someone else. Well, David and I met for five minutes that night after the show, and I remember all five minutes. Unfortunately, I didn't see him for another nine months until I was back living in New York City. By then, a bunch of our mutual friends were on a mission to set us up. We kept 'bumping into each other' in bars after shows. His annual Halloween party was coming up - he'd notoriously pack a hundred people into his two bedroom apartment in the West Village - and I later found out he wouldn't send out the evite without getting my email address first. So he got it from a friend, and I rsvp'd yes. I stopped by very late after I got out of work, dressed up as hippie since I had enough in my closet to throw together a costume. David, on other hand was far more committed, and was dressed as an 80's gym buff in head to toe lycra. Brave man! He called me up a few days later to ask me out on a real date, on Halloween night. I agreed, but tried to cancel last minute because I had a big audition coming up. Poor guy, he was not impressed, but didn't tell me at the time. He charmingly convinced me to loosen up and go out for the evening, and thankfully, I did. We had our first date amidst the drunken crazies and gorgeous drag queens littering the streets of Greenwich Village at the famous New York City Halloween Parade in 2006. Five years later, on Halloween weekend, we'll be getting married in Miami. But this time we'll be dressed up as Bride and Groom...'
so this little love story brought the nwp team down to miami for caissie and david's 'love fest'...
what do they say...? it's good luck to have rain on the wedding day. at a one point during the day, i believe it was raining sideways... i bet that's extra good luck.
no worries though, ciassie and david booked the soho beach house for their wedding

and the suite was styled beautifully and the natural light coming in was amazing!
i loved this moment-we had arranged the dress for a picture and caissie came over to look at it and was so moved-sweet.

special thank you to rachel peters, photographer and friend extraordinaire, to second shoot...while i was with caissie, she spent a little time with the guys.

fun little happening here... caissie and david received a call that week from the new york times saying their wedding announcement was going to run! kind of a big deal! they kept it a surprise for the family and caissie had a paper delivered to their rooms the wedding morning!

come back soon and i'll have a few images from their 'first look'...
