When one of the Grochlosky clan throws a party you can expect it to be over top the gorgeous and a crazy amount of fun! If a few of these faces look familiar you might recognize them from Mike and Michelle's wedding or the movie night we hosted for them! This summer it's all about Graham and Jillian and when these two lovebirds were in town for their engagement photos the family threw a little shower for Jillian. With the help of Amanda Cowley Sweet Events the night was one of lipstick and libations. Ooooh. And a super sweet Candy Table by Sweet Bash Co. Grandma may have almost stole the show a few times when she was getting her lips put on and later when she told Jillian she was crying tears of happiness because she's so young and will make a beautiful bride. We couldn't agree more!

Tears of happiness. The best kind!
The weather was perfect for Stacey and Mike's wedding at Ravine Winery and the rain held off until the dancing began late in the evening! A perfect way to kick off the summer wedding season. If you remember, Mike is the one who proposed using a dog collar on Stacey's dog, Bentley. Her friends and family tease Stacey that she thinks of Bently more often than Mike, but I doubt that, after seeing the way her eyes lit up walking down the aisle towards Mike.
'We really wanted to keep our wedding intimate, inviting only those closest to us, and fun, trying not to make things too traditional or formal. We are happy to have some of our families participating in the wedding - Stacey's cousin Bill will be playing piano for the ceremony, Mike's cousin-in-law Bryan will be marrying us. We hope that the day will be romantic and beautiful while being laid back and a good time!' - Stacey

A few months ago I worked with a team of wedding vendors on a stylized shoot inspired by one of the most beautiful historic homes in Niagara. This morning it was featured on Chic Vintage Brides. Excited to share the work of so many talented wedding vendors.

A little impromptu reception photo booth fun with Marissa and Curtis...
and earlier in the day...
They met at Queen's University and have been together ever since... for over ten years. You can imagine their family doing the happy dance when they announced their engagement and when I met with Simon's mom about photographing their wedding it was evident that they were planning the most perfect day for their kids. And it was perfect... clears skies and all! Top 5 favourite things about this wedding... 1) the sunshine-the last few weddings I have photographed at the Inn on the Twenty had been rainy ones...so I was thrilled to see an outdoor ceremony in the vineyard once again. 2) Kristin's dress was perfectly beautiful... wish i could descrbe it more creatively but the dress was soooo her! 3) the florals created by fleurish were rustic and gorgeous and a lot of them grown here in Niagara... brilliant. 4) being hard core hockey fans... they drank niagara wine from a stanley cup and made their ceremony uniquely their own 5) Simon's mom and Kristin danced to 'here's to you Mrs. Robinson'
All in all a fabulous celebration and we're grateful to have been invited to document the wedding story! Enjoy a few of our favourites from the day...
