i'm lucky to hear so many love stories. the story of jamie and nicole is heartwarmingly beautiful.
a few short weeks after i met this couple and they had decided to book with NWP+C i received a phone call... i was saddened to learn that jamie had life threatening medical concerns that would have him recovering most of this past year. as time went on Nicole let me know that he was indeed doing really well, and confirmed that they were keeping their wedding date and were looking forward to a fun and casual dinner celebration with their closest friends and family at the Inn on the Twenty. so thankful that this last year has brought much healing and a wonderful story of recovery because i can't imagine these two without eachother. they were absolutely glowing on their wedding day-that new lease on life glow- and no amount of rain (it was that day in september that it poured morning till night) could keep them from shining!
she started a job waitressing at a restaurant. the restaurant located right beside jamie's building. he never ate there...well, accept for this one time. the only time he'd run into nicole there because it was her first and last shift. that's serendipity.
fast forward to the rainiest day in september... jamie and nicole's wedding day. nicole was giddy with excitement for many reasons-she was marrying the man of her dreams today. she'd also planned a little surprise for jamie. she arranged for her bridesmaids to bring him a gift on the wedding morning-the bike of his dreams! his reaction was so sweet!
the retreat at cave springs winery makes for a great place to stay dry while exchanging vows... and the rustic decor that nicole planned worked perfectly with the venue!
you know how i know that these two are so loved by their friends.... the wedding party smiled throughout the entire afternoon... even from under those umbrellas. love the way the colours pop off the dreary backdrop... and rain just makes everything look so romantic!
the reception was hosted in the wine cellar... and the band...these guys sing with soul!
a perfect celebration for a really really lovely couple! congratulations jamie + nicole!
vendors that helped make this wedding so beautiful: venue: inn on the twenty, flowers: my bouquet, cake: sweetie pies bakery, music at ceremony and cocktail reception: sarah loucks, band: mark lalama trio
Breanne and Todd were best friends that had met while working together in the same department. Breanne left her job to pursue another opportunity and it became clear that they were meant to be…it was perfectly right in front of their eyes all along. they were already spending a lot of time together, so while a first date for some might be the most memorable, for Breanne and Todd it was their first kiss-at an irish pub after a night out.
i met Breanne and Todd's sweet Penny when we met for their engagement session…i was thrilled she'd be also at the wedding-she has a great personality! her reaction to seeing Breanne in her wedding dress was priceless! she eventually settled for a few pictures!
grateful that the sky had cleared enough to be outdoors for a few pictures-the grounds were wet so the back up is the 'retreat' at Cavesprings Vineyard...rustic and lovely as an indoor option.
a lot of the decor at the reception was sought out by Breanne while they lived in the UK… I'm coveting this collection a little! vignettes of lovely handmade decor made for a beautiful atmosphere to celebrate at the Inn on the Twenty! we left the couple to celebrate with family and friends and i have a feeling their was a lot of boot scootin' boogying on the dance floor!
'he makes me feel special everyday-he really shows me how much he loves me and how I am the only one for him'...
'she's my best friend and i feel super lucky to be living my life, hand in hand, with her.'
congrats lovebirds-wishing you love and happiness as mr + mrs!
in my mind, golf courses are for weddings...so neatly manicured...with their huge trees and tidy pathways. i think i've golfed once...years ago with sweet pea. i might have whined the whole time about all the walking and now the only time i head out to the glof course is ... for a wedding. corey and jennifer exchanged vows in front of friends and family on the gorgeous grounds at the Pennisula Ridge Golf Course on a sunday afternoon in august. they were both glowing! here are just a few of our favourites from their wedding day...
it was her grandparents home and when it was time for them to sell, her parents bought it. dad says lisa insisted the house stay it the family-and is supicious it's only because she wanted to have her wedding in the beautiful back yard. these are a few of our favourite images from tom and lisa's beautiful backyard wedding!
these people know how to dance! i had to share a few from the party... do these not make you smile...? maybe even make you want to tap your foot a little?
full out dance party happening in the studio right now!!
