i just posted pictures from adam and tamara's engagement session...the alley, the graffiti...the paint powder-sweet right...? what's sweeter than that is their love story! enns was along for this engagement session and he made a little film! bet ya can't watch this without smiling!
don't forget to leave a little love for the couple on the blog!
after a few months of meeting your soulmate...you stop telling that story-the 'how i met the love of my life' story. mike and michelle have been together a little while and now that they're getting married-they wanted to share their story again... so, whether you've heard it before or not-i'm sure this little film will warm your heart.
Did I have fun with this one!? First off, I had a blast hanging with Mike and Michelle: beer, pulled-pork, poutine and all! They would definitely fall into my "legit, the-real-deal and amazeballs" basket.
What girl wouldn't want to be treated like a princess? Or what boy wouldn't enjoy a good horror flick? Could this actually work out? Oh the tension. Well… you'll have to watch the film to find out. :)
If you've already watched it, you may proceed to read the rest… (or else).
Because "watching" the movie 'Saw' was a significant part of their story we decided to film a portion of their engagement session at an abandoned house in NOTL. So, at 0:55 the film takes a turn into the darkness. To help enhance the horror flick-esque feel, I removed a lot of saturation while pushing a bit of teals in the blacks. I also dug up a bunch of audio folly like cymbal swells, clock dongs and low rumblings (turn your subwoofer on!) to add a bit of spice. For example, the screech sound at 1:02, is timed to match the "being scared" and the chainsaw at 1:07 is under the "the movie saw". After the tension was resolved at 1:37, I added the saturation back to bring us back home.
Did I mention I had fun with this one? :)

birthday cake meets neapolitan and the story of an on-line romance.
a few weeks ago we met up with rob and chuck for their engagement session in niagara falls for pictures on what could have been the warmest afternoon this year...but we braved the heat and had a great time-and they shared their love story with us.
on a recent phone call with the guys, we were chatting about how did we ever get by pre-internet days? how did we run our businesses? as on-line dating is so common these days...i have to wonder how would we meet our soul mates? : ) there's a good chance these two might never have met living so far apart-chuck in west virginia and rob in toronto-i will say no more...and invite you to enjoy the short film we made of rob and chuck:
when i asked the guys what they envisioned for their wedding, they told me 'it will be fun-it's gonna be a big party! we just want our friends and family to have a great time!'.
it's been a pleasure getting to know you both and we look forward to photographing your wedding celebration next month in niagara-on-the-lake! (and suddenly i have a craving for nachos, beer and wings) i'll leave you with a few images from their engagement session...

hope y'all are having a great long weekend! don't stay away-i have a few more engagement sessions coming up!
